Elias Howe, the inventor of the sewing machine, was born in my little home town of Spencer, Massachusetts in 1819. They named a little mucky pond after him. What an honor.
Probably the only thing of note to happen in Spencer, ever.

Also, here is a step by step visual aid on how to thread a machine. Although every machine is slightly different, the steps of threading are all the same.
